National UMW Theme for 2018
My dear fellow UMW sisters,
Sacred Spaces is defined as any place where God and
humans interact and we see God clearly. Where is your
sacred space? Where has God placed you? What work has
the Lord asked of you?
When we interact with God we learn something about
ourselves and discover God's purpose for our lives.
As a local unit we interact by giving to help with the
Thanksgiving dinner and for students to go to school in
Sierra Leone.
But by uniting with other UM women around the state
and the world we are able to combine our resources to help
more of God's people.
Our encounters with people become sacred when we
consider humans bear God's image and are recipients of
God's love and grace.
So let us continue to remember our sacred places -- but
more importantly -- where are we going together now?
Many blessings to my sisters.
